The Visium CytAssist Spatial Gene Expression Solution from 1Ox Genomics enables whole transcriptome profiling of FF, FFPE, and FxF sample types. All sample types can be used to produce high-quality sequencing data in a spatial context. RTL chemistry is highly specific and sensitive, as demonstrated by distinct spatial resolution of select genes of interest. Overall, gene expression profiles and cell typing performance are highly concordant among the three sample types.

While many mouse tissues have been validated internally by following the 1Ox Genomics recommended sample preparation and staining protocols, mouse eye proved to be a challenging tissue. With some modifications to the fixed frozen workftow, fixed frozen mouse eye can successfully be prepared and the transcriptome analyzed.
