Perceptions of the NET Generation
The Use of Visual Web 2.0 Tools in Online and Inclass Classrooms
This session will explore how the landscape of teaching and learning has shifted in the last decade and how it impacts teaching Web 2.0 in higher education in terms of challenges, opportunities, and student perceptions. More recently, technologies in the classroom have been using the technological, pedagogical, and content knowledge (TPACK) framework. The TPACK conceptual framework will also be covered during this session in order to help educators connect technology, curricula, and desired pedagogies into their classrooms. The findings of this study will validate how Web 2.0 tools are perceived by the Net Generation in both online and on-ground classrooms and how visual Web 2.0 tools contributed to student-centered learning principles such as learner engagement, interaction in learning, and ownership of learning
