Examining the Professional Development Needs of Novice Business Education Teachers
The purpose of the study was to describe the professional development needs of novice business teachers in the state of Pennsylvania. Participants ranked statements regarding their perception of most to least important PD needs, their perceived levels of competency, and the likelihood to remain in the teaching profession. Conclusions indicated the most important PD consisted of getting students to think critically and teaching students with exceptionalities. Also, teachers indicated a likelihood of remaining in teaching.
